• edition: When the publication has more than one edition; for example: "2nd", "Revised", and so forth. Appends the string " ed." after the field, so <syntaxhighlight lang="wikitext" inline style="display: none;" />|edition=2nd produces "2nd ed." Does not display if a periodical field is defined.
